War is, and will always remain an unanswered question. What is war really? Is it the immature act of impulse you would usually get from a child that isn’t getting their way, or an adult that has no other choice but to use force? This question can be answered with many different points of views, neither right nor wrong. I have my own way of seeing things, and this is what I’m here to explain.
I have a strong belief that war is one of the most incomprehensible evils of the known world. I always wondered why anyone would start any kind of violence in this world, when we are all the same species trying to survive in this universe. What if a larger evil were to come to us, and want the entire species dead, instead of just a culture? Would we fight alongside enemies of previous skirmishes, to protect the future of our existence? War is bad. For all reasons known. There are more casualties, than positive results. If political leaders are going to declare war, they better be the ones dying; not twenty year olds that have no heat with the opposing country.
War could affect the society in so many ways, and it has. Many people have feelings of hatred to people they haven’t even met, over what? War. Most people have shut out the entire world, because they are still grudging over what War has done to their family, friends, society, and country. Everyone changes once war erupts. Whether it be the slightest of changes, or maybe a big impact on our life.
Myself; I definitely have changed, but not as much as others. Everyday I have to listen to imbeciles declaring we should “NUKE IRAQ!” and every time, I voice my opinion. No one ever listens to my opinion, why? Because everyone is angry and when there is anger; everyone forgets to listen. Another reason why war is bad; war causes anger. This causes big mistakes, eventually resulting in many more deaths than needed.
A book was presented to my Literature 2 class. A book about a little girl’s experiences in the bombing of Hiroshima. Our teacher presented it to us, hoping that the imbeciles would stop shouting out hurtful phrases about nuclear bombs. This book really touched me. I heard so much about the bombing, but never heard about a real life situation. All I know, is that I would not be able to handle it if one day a gigantic flash ruined everything I’d come to known.
